Habitat for Humanity - New York
This Habitat for Humanity project was designed to provide energy efficient housing for low income families. Built with ARXX ICFs this $11.6 million project is providing an average of 30% savings on monthly utility bills. The complex consists of three four-story buildings totalling 53,000 square feet and 41 total units. The project was in conjunction with the U.S. Green Building Council for LEED for Homes certification and achieved LEED Gold certification. It was also built to ENERGY STAR standards.
BioTech 8
A 76,000 square foot facility with requirements that include architectural compatibility with other buildings in the existing complex. This facility was designed to accommodate multiple uses including a forensics training facility. ARXX ICFs were chosen for its ability to reduce air infiltration resulting in improved IAQ ideal in a Biotech facility. This project achieved LEED certification.
Pioneer Charter School
The Pioneer Charter School is a 27,000 sf two-story building that includes advanced technology and materials in green building construction. The project, originally intended as a LEED Silver building (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) has the ability to meet the stringent standards of the U.S. Green Build Council.
BASF - Paterson House
LEED Platinum home, with HERS rating of 95, exceeding Model Energy Code by 75%. Winner, multiple awards. Intended as model for 3,000 affordable housing units. Project backed by BASF, an ARXX strategic partner that has recommended ARXX ICFs for use on numerous green, high energy-efficiency commercial and residential projects.
Habitat for Humanity - Philadelphia
Seven three-story LEED Silver homes, built by Habitat for Humanity. Winner, Sustainable Leadership Award. Winter energy bills of only $50 per month per unit. Supported by Mayor’s office as lead project in Philadelphia’s renaissance in energy-efficient, affordable housing.
Potato Barns
Summary of seven projects using ARXX ICFs for agricultural product storage. Totals 70,000sf and 10 million pounds of produce per year. ARXX chosen for superior temperature and humidity stability, structural strength and fire ratings.
Forest Baptist Church
10,000sf church addition. Designed for energy savings and speed of construction. 26' high walls built in one continuous pour. Contractor has used ARXX multiple times, including for Mady residence, winner of an ICF Builder award. Distributor has supported multiple ARXX projects.
Mady Residence
13,000sf home. Winner, ICF Builder award. Designed for energy efficiency, strength against high winds, complex footprint, and stable temperatures for antique cars. Contractor states ARXX saved two months; has used ARXX on multiple projects, including Forest church. Distributor has supported multiple ARXX projects.
East Grand Middle School
87,000sf middle school. 33% energy savings and improved comfort, despite extensively-glazed design and frigid winter temperatures. ARXX allowed winter construction without additional heaters, as concrete cured while protected by the insulated forms. Interior demising walls and music room met STC50+. Walls up to 44' tall.
Frontier
LEED Platinum, 14,000sf community center for public exposure to sustainable design. Winner, USGBC Leadership Award and two AIA awards. ARXX used to mitigate summer heat load. Walls built in half the time of cast-in-place. Facilitated a zero construction waste program. Interior ARXX walls also reduced noise.
Frieze Harley Davidson
LEED Gold, 25,000sf, dramatic retail showroom. Winner, two ICF Builder awards. Reduced energy use and smaller, less expensive HVAC. Straightforward design and assembly of angled and cantilevered walls up to 33 feet high.
Los Paseos Elementary School
California's first LEED school. 26% and $10,000 per year in energy savings. Smaller, less expensive HVAC. Exceeds Title 24, and is promoted as a model green school. Over 40 tons of debris diverted from landfill. Reduced noise substantially, allowing use as a gym next to offices and classrooms.
Villages at Cascade Head
LEED Platinum homes, designed for comfort and a minimum 20-30% energy saving. Resisted 129 mph sustained winds during construction. Reduced concrete use; simplified siding attachment.
Clearview Elementary School
Pennsylvania’s first LEED Gold school. $18,000 energy savings per year. Temperature cycling of only 4.5ºF during winter nights. ARXX allowed use of under-floor plenums for ventilation, improving indoor air quality.
Southface ECO Office
LEED Platinum, 10,000sf office building. Winner, two ICFA awards. ARXX ICFs enabled lower operating costs, smaller HVAC system and design flexibility including a 20' lintel over the main window and a curved nexus porch.
The New American Home
Near zero energy, LEED certified, 8,800sf home.
Winner, ICF Builder award, plus NAHB Gold Level Green Home and Energy Star certifications. SEER rating of 18 and HERS rating of 37.
